Q+A

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT FOR COUNSELING?

Counseling is an investment in your well-being and your future. Intentionally stewarding your resources toward your mental health can positively impact many areas of your life.

Individual Counseling Fees
• 45–50 minute sessions: $185
• Initial intake session: $200

Payment is due at the time of service and is securely collected electronically through my practice management system.

I do not accept insurance; however, I am happy to provide a superbill upon request if you would like to pursue out-of-network reimbursement. Please see the Insurance FAQs for additional details.

Sliding Scale Availability
A limited number of reduced-rate sessions are available on a case-by-case basis, depending on financial need and current availability in my schedule. If this is something you are needing, please feel free to ask and I will let you know my current ability to accommodate. If I am unable to offer a sliding-scale option, I will gladly provide referrals to trusted providers.

Book your first session today — I look forward to working with you.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I do not accept insurance.

Some clients choose not to file with insurance for reasons of privacy, documentation of pre-existing conditions, and monitoring of progress.

If you choose to file for out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company, I can provide you with a Superbill containing the necessary information for you to file for reimbursement with your insurance company.

Some insurance companies will reimburse entire sessions or portions of counseling costs and/or count your counseling costs toward your deductible.

I recommend that you call your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits prior to beginning counseling if this is a route you'd like to pursue. If you need additional information from me prior to speaking with insurance, please contact me and I'd be more than willing to help.

Please note that payment is due at the beginning of each session.

WHAT IS MY FIRST SESSION LIKE?

Your counseling experience is important and I believe the value of finding a therapist who best fits your needs is priceless. Therefore, provide a free 10 minute phone consultation prior to our first session.

Shortly after agreeing on our initial session time, I will email you a link to access the secure client portal through SimplePractice. There you will find the necessary intake forms and documents for you to fill out & sign before our first session together.

Your initial intake session is primarily about getting to know one another and explaining the expectations of counseling. Typically we talk about policies, confidentiality, the basics of your story, and what brought you to counseling. At the end of the session we will talk about goals for therapy, next steps, setting up your next appointment, and other details.

Initial intake sessions last between 50 minutes to 1 hour.

Contact Tiffany to schedule your first session.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hour notice will be assessed a fee equal to the client's session fee.

There is no charge for any session cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hour notice prior to the scheduled appointment.
