MEET TIFFANY AMERSON
LPC, OWNER & DIRECTOR

My love for people and desire to help others led me to Texas A&M University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at A&M, I developed strong leadership and listening skills as a counselor at Pine Cove Family Camp and served on the Student Counseling Helpline, where I was trained in crisis intervention and supportive listening.

I earned my master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2008 and began my clinical work as an intern at The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center, where my passion for helping women heal from anxiety, depression, and trauma took root. I later provided therapy to individuals, couples, families, and children at Galaxy Counseling Center, facilitating anger management groups, and gained extensive experience treating mood disorders, trauma, and substance abuse in the Adult Women’s inpatient unit at Nexus Recovery Center. There, I led group therapy on grief, anxiety, depression, coping skills, life skills, codependency, and substance use education, while developing a practical understanding of psychopharmacology and helping women collaborate effectively with their psychiatrists.

Throughout my agency work, I maintained a part-time private practice serving children, teens, and adults, integrating Christian counseling when desired. Today, I focus exclusively on my private practice, Holding Hope DFW.

I remain committed to evidence-based treatment and continuing education, including completing Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders: Components of Care certificate and Advanced Psychotherapy certificate program. I especially love working with mothers and consider it an honor to walk alongside women in seasons of profound change, gently exploring how past experiences influence present struggles.

My own experience with postpartum depression and anxiety after the births of my second and third children deepened both my compassion and clinical skill, allowing me to sit with women not only as a professional, but as someone who truly understands.

On a personal note, I’m married to my best friend, Ryan, and we have four children who keep life full and busy. I’m also a devoted dog lover, plant enthusiast, and avid reader.

I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and hope.
